God's is the quarrel; for God's substitute,
His deputy anointed in His sight,
Hath caus'd his death; the which if wrongfully,
Let heaven revenge; for I may never lift
An angry arm against His minister.
Faith, we met, and found the quarrel was upon the
seventh cause.
Beware of entrance to a quarrel but being in, Bear it, that the opposer may beware of thee.
Now, if these men have defeated the law
and outrun native punishment, though they can outstrip men they
have no wings to fly from God: war is His beadle, war is His
vengeance; so that here men are punish'd for before-breach of the
King's laws in now the King's quarrel.
So musical a discord, such sweet thunder.
