    Without getting too technical, what I try to do is swing on the angle of the club shaft at address, ... For me, that's a consistent swing plane that matches my arms and body. It takes timing out of the equation.

    It's certainly not the golf course when I was pretty young playing it. It's unbelievable how much they've changed the golf course. It used to be basically a clover field out here. The greens are unbelievable, perfectly smooth. It's just hard to believe what they've done here.

    Obviously, we both didn't play very well, ... I can't speak for him, but as I said, I had a two-way miss and couldn't find a fairway that's 300 yards wide. If you're hitting it both ways, it's tough to play.

    I didn't hit the ball very close and when I did, I did make a couple of putts, but other than that, I was 30, 40 feet just about every hole.

    The thing is, you see all the money that's available out there. I see where am I going to play. I have no place to play yet. I'm not exempt. I have no security. So if I don't turn pro and I don't make it out here, where am I going to go Nike Hooters Asia Anywhere but here, I guess.

    Put it this way. If I hit a couple of bad shots, I feel like it's not the end of the world. I can fit it and I can move on and I can still post a really good number. Before, it would be damage control and somehow try and wheel around it and shoot somewhere around par or even under par. But that's not the case.

    I hung in there well. I didn't play particularly well. I hit a lot of poor drives, and when I drove the ball well I continued to drive it in the first cut (of rough).     I've asked Rick Nichols at Nike to see what I can do to bridge the gap, to maybe put a 5-wood or 7-wood in the bag. But I have a problem with having to be able to flight the golf ball with those clubs.

    Chris has been there in a bunch of tournaments. And, unfortunately, guys have come up with the goods at the wrong time for him. That's not saying Chris has played poorly. It's just that he's been there enough times when guys have played better. That's just the way it goes.

    The Masters is where I won my first major, and I view this tournament with great respect. After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I'm ready to start my season at Augusta.

    We are all curious to see how it's going to hold up, playing this fast. A handful of guys are under par and with the wind supposed to blow, it's going to be interesting.

    The South Course, you'd better have the ball-striking up there. It's just that some of these pins now, they are so close to the edges, you have to be pretty precise. If you do miss it, you're going to pay the price, and I think good ball strikers are going to do well here.

    I'm in good shape. A good shot can end up in a bad spot and you just have to accept the consequences and move on. It was very difficult.

    Two seconds in two weeks, they are good weeks, ... Second doesn't feel as good as first, that's for sure.

    Unless it turns big-time downwind and the fairways dry out, no, you can't get there in two.

    They lost the golf course. It's terrible they lost control of the golf course at our national championship. This is not the way it's supposed to be played. It's a great course, absolutely fantastic. It was great the first two days but today it just got away from them.
