Mohamed Abukar The Florida transfer and former Rancho Bernardo High standout forward has been medically cleared from a stress fracture in his shin. Abukar will be eligible as a junior in mid-December. We might monitor his preseason work, but the doctors are satisfied with where he is, ... They have been very conservative with him. But now they have let him loose and we and our training staff will dictate what he does. I would imagine it will be at a pretty aggressive pace.
Rauch, along with his partner Christopher Liam Moore, will be leaving Cornerstone in March. I realized that because of the opportunities at Yale and elsewhere ... I wanted to do other kinds of work. It was a painful decision, because I'll never find another artistic home as supportive as that one.
Discipline, work. Work, discipline.
I was in a three-year program. I left after two years to work, but I can't say enough about how wonderful an experience it was as a young actor.
We talked all week that this was our tournament to lose. We expected to win, and when you win a district tournament by this margin, it's very difficult to find anything wrong with the way the boys played. I'm very pleased. These boys have had a great career.
An umeboshi plum is a little Japensese salt plum. The best thing for motion sickness is to take one of these plums . . . and tape it to your belly button. I'm not kidding you. This really, really works.
He doesn't have very good command of his fastball. He's not exactly the Friday-night guy we thought we were going to have. Either he's going to stay the way he is, and we're going to have to score more than five runs, or it's going to be a work in progress.
I just want to forget about the game, pretend it never happened. There's no sense getting too frustrated about it. We had a lot of guys playing only the second or third games of their careers, so you can't put too much stock in it. We just have so many guys nursing minor injuries or battling sickness. I'm fairly healthy so I was the lucky candidate to play.
The day was a very good start. There was a good buzz and a lot of enthusiasm. There could have been more MPs - it shows they're still not taking climate change seriously - but today laid a very solid foundation for the coalition and its future work.
The effects on the home life (include) increased anxiety, nervousness, sleeplessness that could impact on their school work. And even more significant is the fact that it's an addictive substance.
The word feminism has negative connotations for men. Rather, we are wanting to celebrate females and their confidence. There is no political agenda behind my work. I'm just trying to make music that makes me feel good and confident. We've got a cool message.
When I go there I will go there with a deep sense of obligation and respect for the work that she did, and how that work transformed America.
That business going in there will not work. I feel strongly that I have a duty to protect the quality of life of our residents.
Maintenance work is often outsourced, especially at the low-cost carriers, ... I think it weakens labor's hand generally, but I wouldn't extend this to all other types of labor negotiations. American found out a number of years ago they couldn't fly through a flight attendant strike.
Authentic empowerment is the knowing that you are on purpose, doing God's work, peacefully and harmoniously.
In these times in America I am very moved and grateful that the Gish Prize has chosen to support diversity, controversy, complexity, and non-conformity. I am a collaborative artist, and I accept this recognition on behalf of the courageous artists who have opened and challenged new worlds and old, in a body of work that has created shared space on a divided planet.
It would be more than I deserve at this point in my career, ... It was one of our goals heading into the season, but honestly at this point I don't expect it. It would be great, don't get me wrong, but if it doesn't happen I'm not going to get upset. There are a million reasons we shouldn't make it, looking back.
We work to support our partners to enhance their likelihood of success. Many partners within the network are doing quite well. When we enter these alliances we look to leverage the strength of our platform.
The teacher of history's work should be, ideally, not simply a description of past cultures, but a performance of the culture in which we live and are increasingly taking our being.
I don't have to come to work, grab my pretend son, smash him up against the refrigerator and get in his face. For him to work himself up to that, where you're in that kind of moment and believing that, it must not be easy.
We practice very intense and when it's game time the players go out on the field and do their job. The hardest we work is when we practice.
We've been around for 12 years. Mission work is all we do.
I had no idea I had a career high until the game was over. It was just another game for me. I was just trying to help my teammates and to go out and compete as hard as I could. It's especially meaningful to get it in a Big East game, though.
You can't tune work out or turn it off. You've got the e-mail, the voice mail, the pager. Even when you're not at work, work is very much with you. It's harder for employees to balance their personal needs and the expectations of the boss.
I like to work spontaneously.
This is the high point of my career, ... I've come to love North Rockland in my 11 years here. There will be some difficult challenges in front of us, but I am confident that the community and staff are prepared to meet them.
He's fun to watch, ... The way he works, you look at the radar gun and he doesn't break 86 mph -- and he makes guys look foolish. It's unbelievable seeing the thought process that goes behind each pitch. He has a meaning for every pitch. The catcher sets up back there and doesn't move his mitt the whole game.
It's been a great opportunity for us to continue working in the lives of these kids, especially with the intense trauma they've faced. It's not been an easy year, there's been a lot of difficult things to deal with ... but we're very blessed to continue doing the work and looking forward to what's next.
We hope (this program) will inspire others to become involved in some type of volunteer work. That was the vision of its founders Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Sen. Robert Taft Jr., and Sam Beard.
They know, as we do, that there is a lot of work ahead of us,
At this point, I'm not sure if I'm going to want to make the army a career. I'm just excited and honored to have been accepted. It's a great opportunity for me and a privilege.
I've seen a lot of patriots and they all died just like anybody else if it hurt bad enough and once they were dead their patriotism was only good for legends it was bad for their prose and made them write bad poetry. If you are going to be a great patriot i.e. loyal to any existing order of government (not one who wishes to destroy the existing for something better) you want to be killed early if your life and works won't stink.
It was founded out of frustration and anger. A lot of work just wasn't getting finished. The original goal was helping filmmakers to finish their work, but it's changed over the years.
When I first saw Natasha's work, I was amazed. I loved it and our similar aesthetic sensibility.
It was fun that day. I really love racing. But being involved in Cassius' car and his career, it's like I'm racing but I'm on the ground.
In class work, it is easy to learn only what is needed for a grade. When doing research, I try to understand what I am studying completely. Another great thing about it is that I get to work one on one with professors in my field.
Everyone has been made for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been put in every heart.
His (Millwood's) impact will not be a short-term impact, ... His impact will be one that is felt by our pitchers for a long time to come and their whole careers. In talking to Cliff and C.C., they learned it. They got it.
It was a turf track that we inherited and it just didn't work. We didn't know it didn't work until shortly after we acquired Hollywood Park.
They were unselfish. They wanted to win, wanted to learn. They wanted to work, and they wanted to get better.
