We basically came from the bottom. I remember when I first got here in '93, we were 6-10, just coming off a 2-14 season. We were a struggling bunch, and I didn't know if my whole career was going to be marked by disappointment.

This is a great football team. I love the guys in this locker room.

Being undefeated at home made all the difference in the world for our team. The 12th man - the great fans in this stadium - made a difference all season, but never more than in this game.

You know, we've been an underdog all year long. And that's fine. I don't worry about the odds-makers and all that stuff. Nobody even gave us a chance near the end of the season, after we ran off 11 straight games, that we would even play for the NFC Championship, let alone the Super Bowl.

That's the biggest game that this organization has ever been in and he came through with flying colors. If there were any questions about his toughness, they should have been answered then.

They're going to try to stop Shaun Wow, news flash. I feel like we have a balanced enough offense that if Shaun gets 50 yards, if that's all he's got, we can still win the football game. If Washington comes out and tries to put eight, nine guys in the box, then we're going to have a great day passing the football. It's going to be incredible. I think it's going to be hard for them to defend us.

It shows that we're a complete team. This team is not just about one guy or a couple of guys. It's about everybody on this football team. Everybody that went out there on that field today that played is important.

I don't know where that comes from. You tell me. The guy carries the ball 25 times a game and averages 100 yards a game. I don't think that's soft. Maybe because he does it with a smile.

We knew what we had to get done. We knew the things that had plagued us in the past were turnovers, penalties and not making the plays when we had the opportunity. We were a lot more focused today. That starts with Mike and Matt.

We were all excited. This is the playoffs. We're at home in front of our crowd and the whole city is alive and buzzing with enthusiasm. We all had to take a deep breath and just relax and get into our groove and start playing the game.

How could anyone even suggest that This game still means a lot to us. It's not like we're going to line up Saturday and feel like it has no meaning. We want to win this game. We need to win this game.

I was convinced that we would come out here and it would be a real celebration, that it would be a culmination of our season. But I'm looking forward to being out here and really enjoying this time, soaking this all in just as I did the Super Bowl last week, and just get ready to move forward.

If we keep winning on Sundays, ... people are definitely going to start noticing us.

It was very surreal. I found out from my then-girlfriend, who's now my wife Zoe, that we were moving. I was like, 'We're not moving.' So I didn't believe it at first.

No matter who Walt is playing, it really looks like he is a man playing with little kids. It doesn't matter if a guy is a Pro Bowler. Walt just has superior strength, size and athletic ability. He is a freak of nature.

It's the way it's always been when we travel. It's sort of light. Guys are watching movies. We travel nicely on Mr. Allen's plane. Guys are sleeping and guys are taking it easy. Nobody's really anxious at this point about what we're about to be a part of. It's sort of the same old, same old.

I'm sure that will have to be one of many factors he'll have to consider once this season is over with. For me, there's no other line I'd want to play behind. That's a no-brainer. But that's easy for me to say after 13 years in the league. I'm not looking for the big payday like he is. He's in a little bit different boat.

I've seen a lot of years that were very challenging. A lot of turning points, a lot of lessons learned over those years. But I can tell you with all honesty, with all my heart, it's been worth every second. The feeling I have right now, getting ready to go to Detroit to play for a world championship ... it's just tremendous.

We have no real clue of the magnitude of this win. Maybe years down the road when the Seahawks are perennial contenders for the Super Bowl, it might not be such a big deal, but right now, this is the biggest game ever in this organization's history.

Our philosophy on offense is to wait for opportunity. Those guys have proven they can play when they get that opportunity. Eventually, we'll get Darrell and Bobby back. Until then, hopefully those guys can continue playing well.

I think everybody in this town will be fired up. People will be going crazy, it will be pandemonium.

What we've got is a lot of weapons. We don't have to rely on one guy. We've got 11 guys we rely on.

The thing that's really special about it is that everybody in this locker room is really grounded about the task that we have ahead of us in playing the Steelers. It's not hard to be engaged and be focused on what we've got to get done.

You have to be nuts to do what I do. It's not necessarily a glamorous position. You have to really love the game because most guys don't want to play it.

I definitely wasn't expecting that. But it was a great way to begin the week.

There is nobody else in the game who does the things Walter does. He's just a freak of nature. But for the rest of us humans, we still get our jobs done. I mean, the quality of the players that we have playing on that front five is just amazing.

There have been a lot of tough years, a lot of challenging times and obstacles to overcome. But we're here.

It's fun. I know those guys are good at what they do, so I look forward to Sunday. Hopefully, I'll be able to open up some holes for them.

I'm just trying to soak up every moment that I can and just really savor it. Just writing in a little journal that I have -- for myself, for the future and for my kids. Just so that I will remember this incredible experience.

His ability to get into the end zone is what impresses me most. He has a rare knack for that. Few players in history have gotten into the end zone as much as he does.

We didn't have time to sob or sulk or anything else. It shows we're a complete team. It's not just about one guy. Whether you play one play or 70 plays, we needed it all today.

I think not having to worry about contract talks and all that stuff has helped him because he can really focus all of his efforts on coaching. Obviously, you see the benefit it's had for our team.

A great place to live. I'm rare. I've been with one team my whole career.

Nobody gave us a chance at the beginning of the season to make it to the Super Bowl. Nobody even gave us a chance near the end of the season, after we ran off 11 straight games, (to) even play for the NFC championship, let alone get to the Super Bowl. I feel like that's a sentiment we've had to overcome all year. Each time we've overcome that challenge, and I feel like we'll do the same this time.

Mr. Allen saved this franchise. I was on the team in 1996 when we had basically packed our bags and moved down to Anaheim California. He stepped in when approached by city officials to put a bid up to purchase the team and take us in a different direction. That's exactly what he has done.

If anybody deserves it, he does. I don't think a lot of people expected us to be where we're at right now. They expected us to be second, or maybe even third, in our division.
