    We just didn't have an answer for them all the time. They are playing good basketball. They just got a little bit unlucky.

    (Fordham) just did a great job. They made a lot of good shots. Part of it was their ability to make them and part of it might have been poor defense. That's a bad formula. They're getting rebounds, they're getting second shots, they're making 3s, and we're struggling to get baskets at the other end.

    Liddell has a very diversified game, a very mature game for a freshman. He had a little bit of an Oscar Robertson game. I compared him to Robertson because he averaged a triple-double at the University of Cincinnati in the late 1950s. He has a great nose for the ball. He knows how to play.

    I really like how they share the ball and make the extra pass.

    When they went small (in their lineup), I really feel that created more diversity. It's going to make them even tougher. It's a plus in some ways. They need Thornton for those big games, but I like the diversity.

    Coach Hobbs has done as good as job as any coach in the country at taking a program and moving to another level.

    It's not how many times you get knocked down it's how many times you get up.
