The toss was a bit of a bonus. Andrew Strauss gave us a good start. Posting 400 in the first innings and especially the way we bowled to restrict India was the key.

Yeah, I went through the gears a bit today, and I've still got a little in me. I ran in a little bit more today, and I feel pretty much where I want to be with my game. You know its going to be hot, don't you It was alright, though, and I feel good about the day. I've been inside twice today to get a bit of ice, which felt nice, believe me.
In my second year I recommended him as county captain. The committee almost had a fit. They were too shortsighted to see it in Freddie - even then, he was a leader in the dressing room.
It was a good wicket. Once you got set and used to the pace, you could really score runs as Paul Collingwood and Geraint Jones showed in the England innings.
I went up but there's a lot of noise out there and the crowd were loud, ... A few beers had gone down and they were quite vocal. I went up on what I heard.
Obviously we don't play together regularly so everyone is still trying to find out what others do and what is the best way to get them to perform.
To come to India, a country where people are so knowledgeable about cricket, to play in front of such crowds, receive the hospitality, it's been amazing.
I was really goosed after that last Test, so a break in France with family and friends has been just what I needed, ... But good as that was, our focus is now on Trent Bridge and the Aussies. After all, we're trying to win the Ashes and that's a massive prize.
The lads are hurting, it is an opportunity wasted but we have to re-group, there are seven matches here, so there are still six to go.
It was a big total to chase and we didn't get off to the best of starts with the bat. We've got four matches to play and we can still get back into this series.
With the effort we've put in, I don't think we deserve to go home as losers, so it's a must-win game for us. It would be a massive achievement to win here. Circumstances have forced us to play several new players so to beat India with all their experience would be a monumental effort. We've shown signs of being able to do that in patches during the previous Tests, but we need to get it right over five days.
We complement each other really well at the crease, and we've got a good relationship on and off the field.
It was hard work for our young side, which wants to take on India. With the character the players showed, I can't commend the team enough.
I remember growing up watching the Ashes on television, watching Terry Alderman knocking over Graham Gooch all the time. Back in those days I never dreamed of playing in one and - now I am doing - I'm just going with it.
My feeling is Australia have their noses in front. Would we take a draw now Probably.
There have been injuries, illnesses and that's not been ideal. But it's an opportunity for the team to show what we can do.
