IT organizations need to implement IT controls for compliance management without increasing architectural complexity. This requires that IT organizations work hand-in-glove with financial, legal and business operations to manage operational risk. Expanding compliance and operational risk demands offer an opportunity for IT to build long-lasting value for the firm, or face the threat of becoming a scapegoat for operational and legal deficiency.
If I still need someone to calm my anger down, then I surely need a scapegoat who enrages me.
I was a scapegoat. The media had to put responsibility on somebody, and I was chosen. They felt free to say that because someone was thin they were anorexic, which is ridiculous.
Every day we're talking about what I'm doing and Coach, and I'm a stiff because I didn't take the last shot. It seems like everything is being pushed away from what's really going on. What's really going on is we're a bad basketball team and we're trying to get better. I know, I'm used to being the scapegoat, but ... When is enough going to be enough.
They (Congress) found a scapegoat (Singh). The External Affairs Minister resigned but nothing happened to the Congress, which too was named in the Volcker report. This Congress administration is neck-deep in corruption.
This is part of the church hierarchy's calculated and frankly, evil campaign to scapegoat gay people for the decades of appalling sex abuse of children and young people that it alone created, nurtured, and covered up, ... abject, willful negligence of the hierarchy.
The Red Sox are the local scapegoats. It's hard enough to play baseball without being the local scapegoat too.
Unintelligent people always look for a scapegoat.
Animals used to provide a lowlife way to kill and get away with it, as they do still, but, more intriguingly, for some people they are an aperture through which wounds drain. The scapegoat of olden times, driven off for the bystanders sins, has become a tender thing, a running injury. There, running away is me hurt it and you are hurting me.
When I was in government it was routine for these CIO agents and their factional counterparts in government and ZANU PF politicians to abuse me as a scapegoat for anything they were unable to explain or defend.
All that remains to the mother in modern consumer society is the role of scapegoat psychoanalysis uses huge amounts of money and time to persuade analysis and to foist their problems on to the absent mother, who has no opportunity to utter a word in her own defense. Hostility to the mother in our societies is an index of mental health.
I think it's too easy often to find a villain out of the headlines and to then repeat that villainy again and again and again. You know, traditionally, America has always looked to scapegoat someone as the boogie man.
It is ironic that the United States should have been founded by intellectuals, for throughout most of our political history, the intellectual has been for the most part either an outsider, a servant or a scapegoat.
The church hierarchy is attempting to scapegoat gay people for its own failure to address the sexual abuse of children and young people that it alone created and covered up. The evil in this is that they are trying to equate being gay with sex abuse, which is appalling.
The fact is, the committee's allegations are baseless -- Mr. Sevan never took a penny, as he has said from the beginning. The IIC is and, since the beginning of its efforts, has been on a mission to scapegoat Mr. Sevan in a misguided attempt to spare the United Nations criticism and deflect attention away from the conduct of others.
The easiest course of action would have been to satisfy everybody, use Col. New as the scapegoat and it would have been done with, ... But it would have been the wrong thing to do ... because Col. New had done everything we could ask a prudent commander to do in order to deal with the situation in that unit.
