    The musicianship is more advanced, because we're older. And as we continue to progress, I'm certainly going to take the adult contemporary approach.

    In the original New York production, which I directed, I had the good fortune to encounter a bluegrass group called the Red Clay Ramblers, out of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Their musical sensibilities, musicianship, and great repertoire of traditional and original tunes fit the play like a glove.


    9. The Doors. They had the complete package musicianship, lyrics, songs and stage presence, ... But more importantly, their music has far transcended the band (even with the cult-psycho-martyr status of Jim Morrison) and stands the test of time. No one was doing, or will ever do, what The Doors did. They were the original alternative band, and that makes them the greatest American band.

    I'm flattered with the response. It is a testament to our musicianship and the emotions behind that tour. We're not usually an acoustic band and this CD caters to a crowd that might not normally give us a chance.
