We kind of got away from the blitz with Tim Lewis here. We didn't blitz like we did in the past. LeBeau brought it back. You don't know where the blitz is coming from, and that helps.
You almost have to be in the room to see the respect they have for him, the love. I have never been around anything like that. These guys will do anything for Coach LeBeau. It's not tough love. It's soft love. He says 'I'm going to show you that I care about you. I'm going to ask what I want. I don't have to beat it out of you. I expect it.' It's different, but it shows you can treat (players) like men, if you have the right group.
Playing for a coach like coach LeBeau, you definitely want to go out there and do his defense justice because you know it's a defense that works. It's been proven that it works. You don't have to do anything different. You just do what the defense has been asked to do and nine times out of 10 it's going to work.
I think we pressured them a lot more. Coach Dick LeBeau whipped up some new magic, gave them something nobody's seen yet.
You knew Coach LeBeau would come up with a masterful plan. We have all the faith in the world in him.
It's due to coach LeBeau. We knew he was going to put in that type of game plan and that we were going to do some things, and all we had to do was execute and believe in what we had going in. We did and we held them to 10 points.
Dick LeBeau is the father of the zone blitz, and that's what we are. So everything he's asked to do there, he will have done a million times. That's better than somebody saying, 'Let me take him,' and then be in the wrong system. He's in the perfect system.
