Clustered in the branches
not individuals, not the branches,
not the fruits, clusters, a bunch of grapes
not a single branch, a coil of branches
a living vine bearing much fruit
the church, the congregation
and the children of the flock
They are the grapes, the fruit of the vine
we are the grapes, the fruit as well
not merely branches, bearing fruit
but fruit ourselves,
of those who labored before us
the living vine, eternal, as God
abiding in us, we in God
Living as long as He lives.
