In his tiredness
seeking a drink
sitting at the well
when she came to him
seeking to fill her jars
to gather the water
offered by our Savior
living water to drink
The thirst of God tempered
set aside, abandoned
offering us living water
never to go thirsty
able to live,
to go and serve our neighbors
the Spirit flowing in us
guiding our trembling feet
