The story of Christmas
trying to turn the world
right side up, to turn from the power of might
to a world where sacrifice, where servanthood
were the meek, the forgotten
the least, the last, the lost
outsiders equal with the select
all are worthy, all brought inside
a king a babe
a throne a manger
women, shepherds, foreigners
all can be vessels for God’s message
A babe in swaddling clothes
will change the world
