Ribbons of the Year —
Multitude Brocade —
Worn to Nature’s Party once
Then, as flung aside
As a faded Bead
Or a Wrinkled Pearl
Who shall charge the Vanity
Of the Maker’s Girl?
(Emily Dickinson)
