Shuddering, bodily shaking
Knowing the pain in sharing
in giving voice to memory
reliving this evil
pain inflicted upon him
through his life
Offering himself completely
a sacrifice of love
giving himself over, the lamb
sharing himself, his all
that we would know
the power of God
with him, guiding him
through the deep waters
shadows, in the dark valleys
to the other side
into the light of God’s presence
the warmth of his embrace
offering himself completely
that we would have life
