His testimony, not on the stand,
no court of law.
He stood in the river,
on the riverbank
proclaiming his witness
to the anointing of the Son
by the spirit of God.
Telling all who would hear,
who would stop and listen
that He was here, among them
The anointed one walking
the dusty roads of earth
ready to baptize with the Spirit
the same spirit of God
which rested upon him
