Companionable, sae near,
Sae close confidin’, neither removed-
Less than imagination, more than fancy;
For imagination is inflamed-
And fancy but beckons.
Companionable; builded of worn material,
Made lovable by usage,
Nothing new, nothing old.
A spot where dreams lose their unreality,
And I cease dreaming, falling to labor
With the reality of my dreams.
