Talking of the creator
God, in creating,
active and hands on
touching us, our dirt,
within the potter’s hands
adding living water
the clay of our forms
giving us life by his breath
able to fill even
clay balloons
able to fly by his breath
his spirit, life, animating the clay
until we return to the dust
from which we came
Our spirits freed
to rise to God
once more
