Sweat heavy,
falling like blood
alone in the night
in a space set apart
Christ’s prayer in the garden
to not drink from the cup
but humble, a servant
submitting to God
Taking on our wages
the pain of suffering
taking our stain
the cost of our sin
Christ’s prayer in the garden
to not drink from the cup
but humble, a servant
submitting to God
