They worked well together,
the crew of the boat
The Captain and the Pilot,
each knowing their roles,
the work they must do
Charting the course,
and getting us there
Enjoying the time shared
“their” lake revealed,
at least in part
to we landlubbers, guests
on their floating world
their piece of home
Host and hostess,
generous with their realm
Sharing their secrets,
their joy on the water
