He numbers our days
before we are born
A question of how,
of how the Creator
could number our days
know our lives
before we lived them.
Hidden deeper still,
a story of the heart
of a billion and a half heartbeats
deep down within
the stuff of life,
of living things,
the bounds of life.
How much easier to comprehend,
to believe, that my days are known
when the world has an order
even to the number of beats
to a heart, when life begins
and when life ends.
