Dull white snow
Gray ice, losing power
Brown dirt, wet from melting
Clear leaves, rotting
A bit of green
Amidst the end
Of winter
A shoot
Triumphant, persistent
Strove for air, light
Warmth of the morning
Cool of night
Spring
Reasserting itself
Waking from slumber
