Like Lazarus before her
she rose at
the command of the shepherd
But this time, it was
the new leader,
the follower now in power
no longer timid,
infused with the spirit
Tabitha, Dorcas, Gazelle
elegant, leaping, rising
a worthy lamb, lost sheep
the shepherd leaving the flock
to care for the one
the one in need
lost to death
But death did not hold them
and they rose
at the voice of the shepherd
they arose
