The message of the scripture
the calling to be at peace
to settle where we have been placed
to take root in exile
to grow and have families
to trust only in God
We are to be like Joseph
serving the pharaoh
to be like Daniel
faithfully serving the king
Seeking the best
prosperity for the nation
where we have been planted
in service to God
witnesses to our faith
as these saints of scripture
living out God’s will
out in the dark world
