RUSTICITY’S ungainly form
May cloud the highest mind;
But when the heart is nobly warm,
The good excuse will find.
Propriety’s cold, cautious rules
Warm fervour may o’erlook:
But spare poor sensibility
Th’ ungentle, harsh rebuke.
