Benjamin Franklin was born on 17 January 1706 as the tenth son of a soap maker in Boston, America. He died on 17 April 1790 after a busy and eventful life. He was a printer, an author, a statesman, and an inventor.
Benjamin Franklin’s achievements are too numerous to list in full. He is best known for being one of the United States’ founding fathers and experiments with electricity involving a kite and a storm. He invented swim fins before he was twelve and later the lightning rod to help save many lives.
He set up businesses and made a fortune but still found time to care about making life better for the people around him by setting up a fire service, an insurance company, and a library. He left a sizeable fortune after his death to carry out more good works.

Benjamin Franklin’s life shows the power of education – he was an enthusiastic self-educator and would sooner go without food than books. Benjamin Franklin was an entrepreneur – when he spotted a business opportunity, he worked hard and built up a thriving trade – not once but many times.
When he was financially successful, he paid back to society by trying to use his money to improve and save lives. He invested in projects that benefitted other people. If his inventions would help other people – like the Franklin stove, he did not restrict their use with a patent but allowed anyone to benefit from his work.
Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.
Benjamin Franklin
Throughout his life, he stuck to a routine – get up early, pray, plan your day to have time for work and play. He recorded his daily routine and kept a diary. Benjamin Franklin packed a lot into his day, and he still had time for family and friends. Benjamin Franklin’s example is that you should never stop learning. Spend time and effort on staying up to date in your field.
