    When Spielberg was talking with the other executives about making this movie, he said he was only interested if they were going to tell the truth about the westward crossing, which means how the Native Americans were disrespected.

    My father was my teacher. But most importantly he was a great dad.

    My favorite Oscar story was a year my brother had been nominated, my whole family went.

    Jeff is a real perfectionist. He likes to do a lot of takes to make sure that we've exhausted everything before we call it quits on a scene. I was shocked that he is as much of a perfectionist as he is, because the way I know him is as a pretty loose, easy-going guy.

    So I'm playing a villain for instance, who is supposed to be the bad guy of the story, then I like to try and find things that are good about him.
