From the temple mount
writing of the first citizens
claimed by Christ
the outcasts, the unclean,
those in prison
the bottom of the rung
An admonition down through time
to each Christian heart
to welcome all our brothers and sisters
in his same loving name
To lift up the downtrodden
to help make their way straight
to give comfort in his loving way
to the least, the last, the lost
